When I began, not for pay but as a volunteer, I thought I was simply in it just for hobby and to pass my free time — I did not know I was getting into a role that involved helping others with their daily tasks, managing medications, and ensuring safety. But over time, I came to realize that caregiving is much more than a set of responsibilities. It is an invitation into people’s lives, often at their most vulnerable moments.
